Powers Oil is owned and operated by Scott and Toni Powers of Alliance Ohio.  The business is deeply rooted in its connection to customers and community dating back to 1952 when Toni's grandfather Jay Haynam began in the fuel oil distribution business.  Jay eventually brought his son, Jerry Haynam and son-in-law Art Beltz into the business.  Jerry eventually left the business leaving Art Beltz the sole owner until passing along the family tradition to his son-in-law Scott Powers.  Art started teaching his daughter Toni about the business at a very early age including the importance of customer service and community.  After graduating from college in 1994, Scott and Toni moved to Toni's hometown of Alliance Ohio.  Art offered Scott a job in the families oil business.  It seemed worth a shot as Scott loved people and didn't want to sit behind a desk 9-5.  And as it turned out, he was right.  In 2005, the family business became an independent fuel oil company referred to as Powers Oil Company Ltd.  Some things have changed and evolved in this third generation oil business through the years except for it's key values that is, faith, community, customer service and hardwork.
